Why I started a notebook on the internet

Most of what I read, play and think about disappears within a week. A book I loved turns into a vague feeling; a game I spent a whole month in turns into a title in a list. This notebook is an attempt to keep some of it.

Why not a social media account?

Because a feed is built for the next post, not the last one. Here, a page about a book stays where I put it, and I can come back later and add to it: a new chapter summary, a different grade, a quote I missed the first time.

What goes in it

• Books, with a summary and sometimes chapter-by-chapter notes.
• Games I’m playing, have finished, or want to play.
• Posts like this one, about whatever is on my mind.
• The journey: the story so far, one milestone at a time.

The rules I’m trying to follow

1. Write for myself first.
2. Short is fine. Unfinished is fine.
3. Come back and update things instead of starting over.
